/ Founder and Principal Architect
Joey, founder of PLACE ARCHT, brings nearly three decades of international experience as an architect specializing in commerical mixed-use, hospitality, and retail projects. Her passion lies in transforming urban spaces into sustainable, well-designed environments that meet evolving market needs, enhance human well-being and drive commercial success.
With a visionary and hands-on approach, Joey has successfully led projects of varying scales and complexities, including playing a pivotal role in the urban regeneration efforts of the iconic KK 100 mixed-use development in Shenzhen, China, which features the 84,000 m² KK Mall and the 300-room St. Regis hotel atop its landmark tower.
Joey's expertise extends beyond architecture, encompassing real estate strategy, development, design, project management, and sales/marketing.
This comprehensive skill set enables her to contribute to the entire project lifecycle and deliver exceptional results. She possesses a deep understanding of the unique dynamics, cultural nuances, and regulatory frameworks associated with working in the US and UK, China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
Recently, Joey has been engaged in several urban regeneration and asset enhancement projects prioritizing sustainability, well-being, and financial success. This includes leveraging her experience and regional expertise to contribute to real estate projects in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and beyond.
Joey holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Washington. She is a registered architect in New York, USA.
Bailey and Marley

Bailey is passionate about food, and loves to interact with people, he shows his gratitude and affection by flapping his ears. Marley prides himself on showing attention to detail, he is agile, a couch warmer and never misses out when treats are on offer.
As PLACE Ambassadors Bailey and Marley make regular appearances at the PLACE ARCHT studio. Their unique individuality makes them a popular addition to the studio. They even have their own Instagram page! Favourite pastimes include, running, wrestling and napping.
